Ultra-fast Interrupter
UFI

The only LV124 / LV148 interruption device that supports Automotive Ethernet 1000base-T1 and GMSL as well as standard power lines up to 125A. Now with 10G Ethernet and GMSL2 in the new generation.

Two UFI models — choose by interface requirements.

The UFI 125 covers power lines and standard buses. The UFI Ethernet/GMSL extends interruption testing to high-speed serial interfaces — a capability no other device on the market offers.

UFI 125

Standard
  • Power lines: Up to 125A
  • Bus switches 4 × standard (CAN, LIN etc.)
  • Ethernet: Not supported
  • GMSL: Not supported
  • Networks: 12V, 24V, 48V
  • Integration: Standalone or RTStand
  • Best for: ECUs with CAN/LIN

UFI Ethernet / GMSL

Advanced
  • Power lines: none
  • Ethernet: 100base-T1 + 1000base-T1
  • GMSL: supported
  • 10G Ethernet New generation (release 2026)
  • Networks: 12V, 24V, 48V
  • Integration: Standalone or RTStand
  • Best for: ECUs with Ethernet / camera / display

Key capabilities

  • Performs all LV124 / LV148 short interruption tests — on power lines and bus lines
  • Worldwide first device to support Automotive Ethernet 1000base-T1 interruption testing
  • Worldwide first device to support GMSL interruption testing
  • Supports configurable interruption profiles with feedback measurements during interruption and short-circuit tests
  • Integrated UFI control via RTStand SignalGeneration — coordinated power and bus interruptions with precise timing
  • Hardware upgrade available for external control of additional UFI devices — expanding multi-interface testing capacity
  • New 2026 generation adds 10G Ethernet and GMSL2 support — future-proof for zonal architectures

Why Ethernet and GMSL interruption testing is different

Standard relay-based switching devices cannot cleanly interrupt a 1 Gbit/s signal — they introduce impedance mismatches, reflections, and ringing. The UFI uses purpose-designed high-frequency switching paths for each interface type, ensuring clean interruptions without signal integrity artefacts.
